Afternoon Delights, Volume 1 has ten stories by ten different authors. With that many stories Iím sure you will find something you like. Not only will you have several different genres to chose from but also a few favorite authors as well.

There is no way I can review all ten stories, so I will give you my thoughts and maybe highlight a few stories that touch me and some that didnít. Afternoon Delights in my opinion starts off a little slow and left me wanting more from the stories. Sure they found someone but will they stay together? The first few stories left me feeling dissatisfied, I needed to know more. I can only hope that a few of them will appear again with the same characters in a little long story.

There is a story of time travel - not only traveling back in time but to other dimensions as well - that I would like to know more about. There was a story of love lost due to a tragedy in the family, that I really enjoyed and it was fun to see how they had reenacted one night of pleasure and added a new twist to it years later. There was a story about an Incubus that I enjoyed as well. If only our dreams were like those, we would rush to sleep as well. Oh, and let's not forget about the Warlock as well. Talk about mind reading, this one has it along with another surprise as well that left the heroine open to the Warlock. This is one story I would like to know more about or read something similar in a longer story.

We canít forget about the military or firefighters, yes, both have a story as well. Both will pull on your heartstrings and you wish a solution could be worked out for them to be together. I know a little secret about the firefighter one, which I am not willing to share, but know that I will be on the lookout for more from the author. The military story deals with the Internet and the love that can be found in the least expected place, an online chat room about archaeology. The people who are military, including the wives and daughters will be able to relate to this story.

All in all, I enjoyed the ten stories. The stories kept getting better one after the other. Afternoon Delights, Volume 1 has stories by Aurora Rose Lynn, Ana Loranger, Vivian Black, Margrett Dawson, Francis Drake, Rhiannon Neely, Mercy Fallon, Lauren Agony and Jan Springer, MacKenzie Reed, and Dee S. Knight.

If you have a few minutes to spare here and there, these stories are quick reads and you can pick and choose at your leisure. But I would not skip any of the stories; you donít want to miss any of them for they have their own twist and turns. Some might even give you a few ideas if you havenít already tried them. There are a few of these authors that I will be on the lookout for in the future to see what they offer in longer stories.
