Daisy’s Quilt Shop owner Callie and her Amish girlfriends are at it again when someone else is murdered in the small town of Shipshewana, Indiana. The thing is, the murdered lady is the owner of the only other quilt shop in the area, and she and Callie had been at odds with each other. Will this make Callie a suspect? And if she is, this is not going to sit well with officer Shane Black because of the attraction he has for Callie.
I thoroughly enjoyed this third journey with Callie, Deborah and the other Amish friends in Shipshewana. Without trying to be detectives, it seems like these ladies are always in the middle of solving a murder, and they do their job well. I enjoyed the warm and homey feeling of the quilt shop and especially when the ladies get together to quilt and enjoy each others company. But this time, the tension rises because a young boy is the one who witnessed the latest murder, so whatever is done, the young guy is to be protected. But there are many twists and turns in this wonderful story that will warm your heart.
Author Vannetta Chapman creates a story full of mystery and suspense, in the middle of an Amish community, with sweet and loving ladies in the quilt shop, and adds a little bit of romance, giving readers a most pleasant and wonderful heartwarming read that will stay with you for a long time.
I highly recommend this Amish fiction for your reading enjoyment, and encourage you to pick up a copy. While you are at it, look for the first two books in A Shipshewana Amish Mystery Series.
