Maddie O’Hare was born and raised in a whorehouse all of her life. She was there until one of the Hell’s Eight gave her an opportunity of escape from the brothel she has worked in all of her life. She is little sweet crazy Maddie whom everyone wants to protect. Maddie is known for escaping mentally to her own place, but now she does not want to go into the world of make believe anymore. It's time for her to be her own woman. Her first goal is to get the man that stole her heart, Caden Miller. He is rugged and soft at the same time. When he decides to leave Hell’s Eight, Maddie decides to follow him and gets caught up in a world of trouble. She is hoping and praying Caden realizes her predicament and be the knight in shining armor she knows he is.
Caden Miller has no time or patience for emotional entanglements, he is too hard for that. He is hard that is until he lays eyes on Maddie O’Hare with her soft smile and curvaceous body. He knows she has been through a lot but his body wants to make her burn like a real woman should. When he finds out she followed him, he is out of his mind with worry and guilt because he left without saying good-bye. Caden has to save Maddie so he can save himself.
So when I first started reading Caden’s Vow, I was not impressed. It was slow and the characters seemed a bit dim-witted, but then something spectacular happened and I am hooked. This is one of those books that you have to peel layer by layer and when you get to the heart of it, this read becomes succulent and fulfilling.
