Knights of the Ruby Order: Crag is the second book in Kate Hill`s ongoing fantasy series Knights of the Ruby Order.

After Lily`s village is destroyed and her husband killed she finds herself alone with a seriously ill infant daughter. When she learns that there are Knights of the Ruby Order providing assistance in another town, she decides to brave the inclement weather and terrain and travel there, seeking their assistance. The knights are not only legendary for their battle skills but also as healers. Once she arrives, she finds out that things are not exactly as she expected them to be. There are only two healers available and one is but a healer in training.

Crag has been stuck in his training as a healer for far longer than he cares to admit. He is beginning to feel desperate and wonder about his desire to become a Knight of the Ruby Order. Is it worth his time and effort? Is this what he really wants to do? Does he belong with the Order?

In Knights of the Ruby Order: Crag Kate Hill brings us a story of love and hope. The two main characters feel drawn to each other despite the war and grim circumstances that surround them, providing each other not only solace, but also friendship and love. The reader can not help but feel sympathy for them. The plot is interesting and the love scenes sensual. Knights of the Ruby Order: Crag can be read as a stand-alone and it is a good fantasy book.
