Emily is a woodsman’s daughter, and she has been in love with Drake, the Earl of Westwood since they were small playmates. Growing up, the only thing that he ever talked about was becoming a great hero of the secret organization called the Order. Unfortunately, while trying to become a great hero caused him to be captured by the most evil, yet most powerful organization known to man, the Prometheans.
They tortured him within an inch of his existence. When he finally escaped he opted to go back as the chief body guard of the second in command and seek his revenge. Now that he is back within the confines of the organization, Emily has followed him because she feels that she has to save the man she has loved all of her life.
Once Drake realizes Emily has followed him, his only focus is to keep them both alive. He is in such a dark place, he begins to see that Emily is the sunshine to his dark, tortured mind. Her unconditional love is the thing that can bring him back from the brink of spiritual and emotional death. Then, an attack on their very existence causes them to have to decide if they can save their love or save the world from the darkest evil.
My Ruthless Prince is an enthralling, exciting read. I was so riveted with the story that I was completely vested in the outcome of the characters. This story of good and evil will engage all of your senses causing you to feel that you are a part of the story. I could not stop reading this story. I have to say Ms Foley, you had me at hello.
