Alistair Caulfield has been attracted to Lady Jessica Sheffield for seven years. Unfortunately, his infatuation began just as her marriage began. He never expected his feelings to be returned, given that Jess was in a happy marriage with a man who truly loved her. He was happy for her, but knew no woman would ever live up to her.

But then Jessís husband passed away. She is now a widow, wealthy and privileged. She is heading to Jamaica to look after her husbandís estate and business when she crosses paths with Alistair again. Of course, Alistair arranged things to his liking but there is no doubt Jess does not mind his overtures. There is heat simmering between them and she is finally ready to explore it. But will it lead to anything permanent?

Alistair and Jess have a magnetic pull towards each other that really drew me into the story. Not only is there attraction but there is respect and honesty, along with vulnerabilities that come to light. This is a story definitely about them, with a tight focus on the characters. The mundane details of why Jessica and Alistair have come back together is very much a background detail in this story but that did not hinder the story for me in the least. Alistair and Jess just fit together so well that I could not help but enjoy their romance. The complications thrown their way were perhaps a bit too easily overcome but in the grand scheme of this highly erotic story, that is a minor complaint.

Seven Years to Sin by Sylvia Day is simply sinful reading enjoyment. Jess and Alistair light up the pages together and wow, do they make an indelible impression on readers!
