The Mercy is the final book in Ms. Lewisí The Rose Trilogy. Readers will want to read the first two books in the series The Thorn and The Judgment before reading The Mercy as the books do not stand alone.
I didnít find The Mercy up to Ms. Lewisí usual spell-binding style. I found myself skimming a lot, and some of the story seemed to just drag on. But I had to keep reading to find out a couple things I wondered about since book one. Such as, what really did happen to Christian? I found the ending rather rushed. This is my least favorite series of Ms. Lewis, but she hasnít lost me as a reader.
