When I started reading this book I was captivated by the cultural aspect and the mythology around the story. It was really interesting to see how the society works. There's a dominant "sub-species", called the Aerotaun, who live in high trees and are able to fly through advanced technology, and the Marimar, who as the name suggests, live by the sea.

Ariana, the Aerotaun, isn't very "believable" about her motivations to help the unknown Marimar. They felt attracted to each other far too fast. Their relationship changed and feelings started to show. It wasn't well explained. I wanted to know more in order to understand their feelings.

The big secret that we know about by the end of the book, is something that I expected, and in my opinion they were too naive not to think about that. The ending isn't a closure, it felt like the first book of a series, not all of our questions are answered.

Taboo is an erotic sci-fi story with a predictable plot and without a satisfying ending.
