Serena Marsh is a spoiled, privileged daughter of an English ambassador. She revels in the glitz, glamour, and gossip of her sparkling London life, until she is forced to flee to Scotland so that her father can help calm an insurrection. Malcolm Slayter could care less about the glitz of London. He just wants to do his job and keep Serena safe from the Scottish rebellion. Then, when Serena proves to be a fiery chit instead of a wilting little flower, Malcolm finds himself falling hard and fast for this daughter of privilege. Then when the rebellion draws nigh, it is up to Malcolm and Serena to depend on each other to survive. Can they fight the unseen enemy and save each otherís hearts with true love?
Secrets to Seducing a Scot was a pretty good read. Initially, you may not like the heroine when you first meet her, but as the story builds, you begin to warm up to her and enjoy the adventure of who she is. This story is somewhat light and it seems the author rushes to tie up the loose ends at the conclusion. It's an okay read. Not one of my favorites.
