When Acadia Gray’s friends convince her to take an unorthodox vacation, she goes all out. As if traveling to Venezuela was not adventurous enough, she does something truly out of character – a one-night stand with a handsome stranger. Winning the lottery may have removed her financial worries, but she has a much bigger problem on her hands at the moment.

Zachary Stark’s first thought upon waking up is how nice it is to have a woman in his bed. That thought is immediately followed by the realization that it was not her naked body that roused him from slumber – it was the barrel of a pistol at his temple. The multi-millionaire prefers his adrenaline rush from extreme sports, not terrorists taking hostages. He and his brother may be the targets, but Acadia has gotten swept up in this nightmare, and he has to keep her safe.

Well-known romantic suspense author Cherry Adair brings readers a brand new series with an element of the paranormal. Hush starts off packed with action and danger, and it just keeps building throughout the book. A true page-turner, the novel has more twists than the Amazon River. I was honestly surprised by the final chapters, and can see several ways for the series to move forward. My favorite part of Hush involved the character development. Acadia was a constant surprise to Zak and her no-nonsense attitude was refreshing. She is the antithesis of a victim throughout the book, a true partner to the Stark brothers as they work to escape their captors.
