Tessa Donovan is determined to save a major deal that her brother, Eric, has been working hard on. The family brewery, Donovan Brothers Brewery, is poised to open up in new markets, but middle sibling, Jamie, may have messed it all up by sleeping with the daughter of the man the family is trying to do business with. Now, Tessa is determined to make sure the deal goes through, fearing what will happen to the family if Eric finds out. She knows a permanent rift could be in the works.

Unfortunately, Tessa is also tackling another family emergency. The brewery has been broken into and their computers stolen. For the small Colorado community of Boulder, this is a major crime and Detective Luke Asher is determined to capture the criminals. It may not be the murders and drugs of L.A., Lukeís previous stomping grounds, but he knows he is providing quality service to the citizens of Boulder. The more contact he has with Tessa, the more Luke likes her. She has a kind heart, a big smile, and makes him ache in the best way possible.

However, Lukeís past with women, coupled with Tessaís stress about her family, may just ruin their flourishing relationship all too quickly. Will these two be able to be open and honest with each other in order to make their relationship blossom?

Good Girls Donít is alive with Victoria Dahlís trademark snarky characters, sexy love scenes, and amusing plot moments. There is, as usual, plenty to laugh about as the characters get into some odd situations, but there is also a powerful overtone of the importance of family and of standing up for each other. Luke and Tessa have to learn to trust each other and it happens in slow steps, with definitely a few slip-ups. What I continue to love about Victoria Dahlís books is how genuine and real her characters are. These are people I could see in my own life. They are likeable, sometimes annoying, amusing, and genuine. That strong characterization keeps me coming back for more.

And of course, Ms. Dahl never shies away from the really fun intimate scenes. Hereís a writer who knows that sex, love, and laughter are a great package. Good Girls Donít shines on every page. This is a romance gem.
