This is Ms. Coulter's third book in the Brides series. The Heiress Bride is the story of Sinjun Sherbrooke, the only sister in the Sherbrooke clan.

Nineteen-year-old Sinjun Sherbrooke, was blessed with the Sherbrooke blue eyes and a charming personality… and being an heiress isn't so bad either. So if she has it so good, then why is she so bored with the London Season? As she ponders this question, at yet another dull ball, she spies Colin Kinross, from across the ballroom floor. Sinjun, being Sinjun, and a Sherbrooke to boot, wastes no time in seeing what he's all about and walking right up to introduce herself. Cheeky, isn't she?

Colin Kinross, the Scottish earl of Ashburnham, has come to London to find an heiress to save his people and his lands back home. Well, you can imagine his surprise when a young, beautiful woman walks right up to him, introduces herself as an heiress, and declares herself the answer to all of his problems. Naturally, Colin is taken aback by the sheer impudence of this young Sinjun Sherbrooke - and does he dare to take her seriously?

Well, needless to say, Sinjun convinces Colin that she is his only hope, as heiresses are few and far between. And despite a few hurdles, she manages to elope with him to Scotland, in an adventure that even Sinjun had never dreamed could happen. They arrive at a drafty old castle, filled with crafty and eccentric characters, as well as a resident ghost, Perlin' Jane. Sinjun also finds the life she has always dreamed of, if only she can convince Colin of her true feelings for him, then and only then, will she be truly happy.

This is a FUN story. Sinjun is such a hoot, and the epitome of all the Sherbrooke females - as well as Meggie, younger version of Sinjun, who follows in the next tale of the series, The Scottish Bride. Sinjun is quick witted, loving, and a little reckless. Colin is very brooding, and mysterious, but once you get to know him, you'll fall in love along with Sinjun. They make a great couple!
