Romance novelist Emma Gavin has gained the attention of the werewolf community. It seems her werewolf novels are hitting too close to home for their comfort. Her descriptions of lycanthropy is spot on thanks to her degree in wildlife management and her interest in wolves. The pack in Manhattan doesnít know this about her so Aidan Wallace, the next in line to become alpha, is sent to find how Emma knows so much about them. Who is her informant? Will she use her knowledge to expose them to the world?
Aidan is relieved to find out Emma doesnít believe in werewolves. Everything she writes comes from her vivid imagination. Thatís good news; Aidanís attraction to Emma is not. As the next alpha, it is Aidanís duty to marry another werewolf for the sake of the pack. That doesnít keep him from wanting her whenever she is near. When he learns a rogue werewolf has decided to reveal the truth about werewolves to Emma, Aidan becomes her bodyguard in hopes of catching the rogue before any damage can be done. This means staying at Emmaís side during her book tour. Unfortunately, Aidan has a genetic disorder that forces him to shift whenever he becomes aroused. Sex is the only thing that will control the change. The thing is that Aidan is already affianced and Emma deserves more than just a one night stand.
Emmaís life has certainly changed since meeting Aidan Wallace. But it is about to change even more. Her choices may no longer be hers to make after the world of werewolves becomes all too real.
A Werewolf in Manhattan: A Wild About You Novel is Vicki Lewis Thompsonís latest book. Those who have read this author can expect to find more of her trademark humor in this story. Admittedly, Emma could be annoying at times. Especially when she was on her soapbox. Even so, A Werewolf in Manhattan is an enjoyable read.
