Marc Brannon is one of those extraordinary men of integrity and honor Ė a Texas Ranger. He holds himself to a high degree of nobility and will pursue justice to the ends of the earth. Honesty is also one of the characteristics he prizes the most. Marc believes that he made a mistake two years ago when he doubted the integrity of the woman he was involved with.

When Jossette Langley accused a popular politician, who happened to be a good friend of Marcís, of murder she is shocked and devastated by Marcís doubt. He refused to believe Jossette could be telling the truth about his friend and her belief that he provided damaging information that discredited her testimony ended their relationship in pain and regret.

She was the woman created just for Marc and even years later they still burn for each other. She still remembers what it was like to be loved by him but she may never be able to completely trust another man that way. Now, they must put aside their hurt to find a murderer, and concentrate on an investigation that is becoming more and more complex everyday. Time is running out for these disillusioned lovers to bring a cold-blooded killer to justice. But when this investigation is over will they be able to recapture the love they shared or have they lost it forever?

Surprises a plenty make this book a sweet romantic read sure to warm up many a chilly fall evening with its superb blend of erotic sensuality and cozy romanticism. The appearance of characters from connected novels Beloved (SD #1189) and Marcís Sister Gretchen (Lord of the Desert) make this a great way to catch up with familiar characters. This is definitely one for the keeper pile because it is perfect for those times when you just want a tender sexy satisfying romance.

Enjoy!
