In The Devil Earl, Ms Simmons brings us another steamy, fun historical full of mystery and passion.

Dark and brooding and rumored to have done murder, the Devil Earl; Sebastian Ravenscar, was everything Prudence Lancaster's imagination could conjure. But he was also flesh and blood, and infinitely more seductive than anything she had ever created.

Prudence - a dreamy authoress, soon becomes a sultry sleuth, hungry to solve the mystery of Ravenscar's missing brother, whom he is accused of murdering, and she takes it upon herself to save the Devil Earl from his own wicked legacy.

Soon, Prudence and Sebastian find themselves drawn together as partners and lovers, neither ever expecting to find love along the way.

Ms. Simmons has a true gift for the gothic. This story is very well written and her settings seem so very real. The main characters are expertly written and very developed, leaving nothing for the reader to wonder over.

This was an excellent story and well worth keeping!
