Reiverís Bride is the last book in The Secret Clan Series by Amanda Scott. I am sorry to see it go as I have gotten to know some of the characters from the books and they feel like family. This book still has Maggie, Claud and Catriona and we get to meet Fergus, as he is Lady Anneís little guardian.

Lady Anne has moved into her auntís home because her father has died and that is what he wished. Her auntsí home is not far from her own home and she travels there often. Only on one occasion she meets a band of reivers that just happen to be after her herd. They do not frighten her, but she gets sort of acquainted to Sir Christopher Chisholm.

Sir Christopher Chisholm or Kit to his friends is not quite having a good day or should I say months. He was declared dead almost two years ago and now his Uncle Eustace owns his house, lands and titles. That also includes the marriage contract that his father had done. But now that he is found alive and kicking, what will happen to him and his uncle.

Lady Anne is a lady but she also has a quiet strength and determination about her. Once her mind is set on something, there is no stopping her. She is pretty and speaks her mind even when it might get her in trouble, but will hold her tongue as well. She will do what is needed to make those around her happy or at least till she is satisfied with the outcome.

Kit is a handsome man and his life; when he was declared dead, has given him more strength, determination, and patience than most. He wants his life back along with his home, lands and his titles; but is patiently waiting for the outcome to be announced. The outcome will also determine his fate if he is to wed Lady Fiona, who is Lady Anneís cousin and nothing like Lady Anne at all.

There is much mischief and adventure going on inside the keep that Lady Anne is now residing in and her home as well. I will say the fox that made the appearance several times throughout the story was great. We canít forget the wee little people as well, Maggie, Claud, Fergus and Catriona. There is more trouble going on in this one than trying to get Kit and Lady Anne together.

The Secret Clan: Reiverís Bride is an enjoyable read that will keep you entertained right up to the end. There are a few surprises in the story that will keep you turning the pages to find out what will happen once they are revealed. Once again Amanda Scott has brought us a story that is full of love and what might just happen to those who get in the way of love.
