While attending their parent’s re-marriage, the Bliss sisters make a pact to change their lives. Mackenzie must leave her dead end job, dump her loser boyfriend and cut her hair as her part of the deal. Sabrina must obtain a job and keep it for longer than 6 months, get a permanent residence instead of moving from place to place and oh yea give up her “one night stand string of relationships for a year”. In other words no sex without the "L" word. For Sabrina and her carefree lifestyle this will be the hardest requirement.
The prize for winning the bet is something both girls crave, their beloved grandmother’s diamond engagement ring. Mackenzie offers Sabrina the perfect solution for the last requirement just substitute chocolate for sex. This is much easier said than done especially after she meets the heart throbbing Chef at her new job, Kristoffer “Kit” Rex.
Kit’s specialty is desserts and he is willing to specialize in chocolate ones as soon as he finds out Sabrina has a passion for the stuff. He knows Sabrina is attracted to him but can’t for the life of him figure out why she reaches for the chocolate instead of him every time he makes a move.
The Chocolate Seduction, what admitted chocoholic could resist this book? Not this one. Carrie Alexander attempts to answer the old question, is sex better than chocolate? Kit and Sabrina are characters who draw the reader into their story. I especially like the scene where Kit and some of the secondary characters help Sabrina move into her apartment.
After reading this book the reader will never look at chocolate sauce quite the same way again. This was a fast read that will have the reader eager for the second helping. The wait won’t be long as Mackenzie’s story; Sinfully Sweet will be out next month.
