Maria Tortorici is a successful, chief architect at her firm. She is almost forty years old and has the world in the palm of her hand. She looks good and her career is on the up-track. However, she is missing something, Maria has no one to share her success with. Her friends made her a bet that by their twentieth class reunion she would not have a husband or a fiance. Maria has never felt that she needed a man to complete her so, she was content until her friends posed this bet. Enter hot assistant, Edward Russell.
Maria Tortorici figures that she can use Edward’s birthday as an excuse to seduce him into an engagement. When she sees that he has genuine feelings for her, there is the snag in her plan. What Maria does not know is that Edward has plans of his own.
Seduction to the Altar ventures a tad on the cheesy side. Some of the dialogue makes you say, “Man get real!” Maria is successful and beautiful and her story seems to be the typical successful woman’s plight. Successful, but no man. Although one can relate to her plight, the lovey-dovey conversation becomes a bit too mushy for this reader’s taste. The love scenes are pretty hot, and if you like cougar stories this is the read for you.
