Maddie Moore is starting her life over. She has left her boyfriend and her job behind, one being her decision and the other not, but she hopes that they realize they lost a great employee. So leaving L.A. behind, she plans on claiming the inheritance left to her and her half-sisters by their mother, Phoebe Traeger. Maddie is not afraid of hard work and her hope is to make a new life in Lucky Harbor, Washington. She will need to convince her half-sisters to help out or at least give her the time that is needed. Will the recipe box of life help them make the decisions that are needed to help each of them?

Master carpenter, Jax Cullin will be the man to help Maddie out or she hopes. After a night of far too many drinks, Maddie calls his business number and leaves a message asking for his help, but she has no clue that he is the one she almost killed when driving into town. She finds Jax to be the eye candy as he is not only tall but very dark and handsome.

Will Jax be able to help Maddie and her half-sisters out? Will her sisters give her the time she needs to show the true potential for the Lucky Harbor Resort or will they stick to fixing it up just enough to sell it? Is one of the sisters hiding a secret and one that Jax knows about? What will Maddie do when the truth comes out?

I loved Simply Irresistible and once again Jill Shalvis has a sizzling hot romance with the humor showing with each character. I look forward to reading about the half-sister and wonder which sister is next when the second book The Sweetest Thing hits the store. My copy of Simply Irresistible is a keeper so you best run and get yours when they hit the book store near you.
