Deborah Simmons brings us another fun and exciting story. In A Man of Many Talents, we visit a group of eccentric, lovable characters that will warm your heart and tickle your funny bone.

Christian Reade, is heir to the earldom of Westhaven and is tired of being known as a ‘ghost hunter’. After bringing the ghost of Belles Corners out of the woodwork, so to speak, he is being inundated with requests to rid homes of their spiritual visitors. Trying to get away from it all, he decides to visit his ailing grandfather. Unfortunately, even here he isn’t safe from being hounded by people.

Miss Abigail Parkinson is in a terrible dilemma. A phantom is disrupting her plans to sell her gloomy home and she is in need of assistance from a professional. Having summoned the help of renowned ghost hunter, Christian Reade, Abigail feels confident that he can oust the ghost and then she will be able to sell her home.

What she doesn’t expect is a handsome, peer of the realm, with broad shoulders and smoldering eyes. What has she gotten herself into? Christian hesitantly accepts Miss Parkinson’s plea for help, only wishing after he finally meets her, that he can turn around and run the other way. Now here is a woman who could drive a man crazy with want and desire, just what he doesn’t need right now, in his life.

Abigail and Christian are wonderful characters. They are total opposites that attract and give off sparks that light up the pages. Throw in a houseful of flaky relatives and a pain in the butt ‘ghost’ and you have a tale of mystery, suspense and love found in the most extraordinary places. Ms. Simmons is a wonderful storyteller and brings historical romance to life, for all of us. A definite keeper!
