Before the ink even dried on her diploma from high school, Macy O’James books herself a flight for the stardom of LA, leaving her bad reputation far behind her to make a name for herself as a music video star. In Sugarville, though, Macy has to drop everything to go home to help her family. But the town won’t let her past die with her new profession. However, Macy believes she can get though anything, because family is the most important thing she has.

Her first night in town, Macy meets the local Fire Chief Gabriel Donovan. Gabriel left behind the big city for the quieter work in Sugarville. Gabriel is the type of man who doesn’t snap from stress, the kind who likes a calm and peaceful woman. But when he meets Macy, he gets the exact opposite of what he likes. And he tries to ignore the spark that’s ignited between himself and Macy, but the task in and of itself is impossible.

Both Macy and Gabriel seem to think that if they fall in bed, then they move on with life. But neither of them has planned past Macy’s short amount of time in Sugarville, and neither planned on bringing down the walls from their pasts. Will Gabriel and Macy figure out what they feel for each other? Or will the walls of their pasts keep one another from realizing what’s really happening between them?

I really liked this book and would highly recommend it to my friends and family. There were some very funny laugh out loud parts and it is not a book I will share. I am saying buy your own, this one is a keeper for me.
