Now that Lucy Valentine has embraced her unique abilities, she is determined to make a success of her business. She may not be the matchmaker her father is, but she is good at finding items that are lost. What better segue into the family company than by reuniting lost loves?

When the police ask for her help to find a missing woman, Lucy cannot refuse. There is something off about the husband's story and the information she received from the victim's mother. One of them is not being completely honest, and Lucy is afraid she may be too late.

When she asks Sean Donahue for help, she knows that she can count on the sexy private eye. Of course, it is not all business between them and Lucy is wondering if they just might be a perfect match. Her father is acting strangely again, and that is never a good sign. Lucy also has to put up with nosy reporter Preston Bailey, who thinks the Valentines may lead her to a big juicy story.

The second of the Valentine novels, Deeply, Desperately, is a winner. Lucy and her family are charming. The subplots are woven together with a light touch and are heartwarming. Author Heather Webber has hit on a winning combination of humor and drama with just enough romance rolled in to delight readers. This series has the potential to sustain readers interest with its array of characters and unusual perspective.
