Voted the Winslow Most Likely to Speak Her Mind, Annabel Winslow fits the nomination to a tee. Outspoken when she should be silent, she usually gets herself in a bit of trouble. When the Earl of Newbury decides that Annabel will be the prefect person to help with his 'problem', his hated nephew Sebastian Grey, has other plans. See, if Newbury dies without an heir, then Seb inherits everything. Needless to say, Annabel is caught in the middle of a tug of war between two very strong willed men, but they soon find out that she's no Miss-ish Miss and so the fun really begins.
Annabel and Sebastian are a perfect match. Both have an agenda that involves the other, only for different reasons. The passion that develops between them starts off with a bang of a kiss, under the stars, which is nice but the real sparks begin to fly when they find out that they are working toward a common goal...love.
Although I adore all of Ms. Quinn's books and the characters in Ten Things I Love About You are well written, the plot itself was slow moving and it took me quite a while to read my way thorugh the book. I'm not sure exactly why...maybe because of the title, I was expecting a countdown of some kind, but really didn't see it written in that way. Of course, I'm not going to let one book decide if I will ever read a Quinn story again...of course I will...she's one of my favorite authors.
Judge it for yourself and let me know what you think. Maybe I will re-read it during the long, cold winter months and have a different view.
