Young woman are missing! It looks like there are only two people from a private security company, known as Department 6, who will be able to do the job of finding them. That is, once they stop questioning why it has to be them.

Ethan Wycliff has many loyal followers at the Church of the Covenant that is located in the Arizona desert area. He adores woman and idolizes Charles Mason. Mason and Ethan have two things in common they are both evil and ruthless.

When someone who was being stoned escapes and asks for help she has no idea who will turn up to help her or even if they can. Her husband and son are still at the Church of the Covenant and under Ethan Wycliff's spell.

Rachel Jessop and Nate Ferrentino must go undercover and pretend to be husband and wife. Rachel has some experience with men who run these types of Churches - she herself was the child of a man who was the one in charge. When it comes to the Good Book, Rachel is able to quote countless verses.

White Heat is the first in a new series by Brenda Novak. She has kept me at the edge of my seat wondering how these two will bring the Church of Covenant down and find the missing girls and woman. I also found not only the thriller to be very good but the romance to be hot and scorching.

I look forward to the next book in the series. Grab a copy of White Heat and be prepared to lose yourself in the latest riviting story from the talanted Brenda Novak. My copy is headed for my keeper shelf.
