Three women unexpectedly form a bond and a wedding business in Katie Ffordeís Wedding Season.

Sarah is a wedding planner extraordinaire who can pull together a wedding beautifully, but her own love life is a complete disaster. She just cannot get over a hurt from her past and it is stopping her from moving forward with a man who is falling in love with her.

Elsa is a dress designer who has not met Mr. Right yet. She is rather shy and works hard on her designs. The unexpected role of fill in bridesmaid leads to a chance encounter with an amusing and sweet man. Will it go further than either expects?

Bron is a talented hairdresser and cake creator. She is also stuck in a very unhealthy and unbalanced relationship. What will it take for her to leave her boyfriend in the dust and invest in herself?

Wedding Season is a pleasant, if uneven read. Sometimes there are great moments in this book but the majority of the book just rolls along with the details of a big celebrity wedding carrying the plot. The characters really do not change all that quickly and their growth is stifled by the length of the plot. Though itís interesting to see the wedding details played out, the various romances get lost in the shuffle.

All in all, an uneventful read. Not Katie Ffordeís best but not the worst book Iíve spent time with recently either. When it all comes down to it, itís just rather boring.
