Lori Handeland brings us another story in The Phoenix Chronicles series. Liz still doesnít quite know what she is doing but after killing Sawyer she still doesnít know what to do with her new powers from Sawyer and much less what her powers were before she had to kill him. Along the way she meets another slayer of demons named Bram. I believe we will see more of Bram along the way in her upcoming stories.

Luther is now along for the ride and so is a new baby that was left on her doorstep that she doesnít quite know what to do with. With the help of her friend Megan she at least has some basic items for the baby, named Faith. Liz is to protect Faith after all Sawyer is Faithís father.

Liz is on the path it seems to her own self destruction. She needs to talk to Sawyer and there are complications along the way. Which isnít anything new for Liz, but making the correct choices along the way will be the hardest for her. The question is can or will she? Only time will tell.

Jimmy Sanducci is along for some of the ride in Chaos Bites. Liz still loves Jimmy but does he still love her and will he do what is necessary to help Liz in her quest or will he throw a few road blocks along the way.

Chaos Bites is a fast paced story that has us turning the pages to find out what will happen next. It doesnít matter if it is Liz, Luther, Jimmy or even Summer that makes an appearance or even Faith or Ruthie. You will not be able to put the book down until youíve finished it. We get to see a little more of Jimmy and what he was doing when he was away from Liz for those years.

Iíve enjoyed the new characters that Ms. Handeland has added to this story. Iím waiting to find out just how much of a role Bram and Faith will play into the following stories. Iím looking forward to see that kind of trouble Liz will get into and just how she will succeed in getting out of it if she does. And just what the Nephilim have in store for them.
