Running from brutal serial killer, Willy the Carver, Tonia takes a job on a private island. As a housekeeper to Dr. Juan Gino Perez she believes the seclusion will help her hide. Although Dr. Perez is mysterious and devastatingly handsome, Tonia begins to think the island might be just as dangerous as the life she left behind. As if drawn by magic, however, Tonia and Juan cannot fight the attraction between them.

But Juan has been cursed. Doomed to live a life of man and beast, Tonia’s love might be his only cure. Refusing to give into his beast, he’s willing to risk his life to keep her safe.

Until Willy the Carver comes to the island…

Impassioned is a short, sexy novella that can be read in one sitting. From the opening pages, Ms. Hill draws you into a world of cursed beasts and sensual encounters. Juan Perez reminds me of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – one moment he’s a gorgeous caring doctor, the next he is a handsome, dangerous beast intent on seducing Tonia. To be perfectly honest, I preferred his rough beastly side!

Aside from the steamy sex scenes, the plot is an interesting one. Juan has been subject to experiments and cursed with the beast. He spends his time and resources searching for a cure. I liked the fact he turned furry because of an experiment rather than a bite. It added an interested twist. Add to that the storyline about Tonia and Willy the Carver and you have am intriguing plot as well as some dazzlingly good erotica.

Impassioned may be short and sexy, but Juan and Tonia are engaging characters with sizzling chemistry. Well worth a read.
