We get to meet an AFT agent and an FBI agent who are working on the same case once again. Cole Yardley, AFT agent is trying to bring down a drug smuggling gun ring with foot work and Elise Campbell, FBI agent is trying to solve the case via the paper trail.

This isnít the only case they have worked on together; the last one was two years ago. Both are stubborn, keeping the information they find from each other, while verbally sparring. They take pleasure in seeing who can have the last word.

Elise calls Cole a caveman for the way he treats her and he thinks that a woman shouldnít be doing a manís job. While she calls him caveman, he calls her sweetheart, which just irritates her to no end. But behind all this sparring with one another they evidently start sparring in the bedroom as well. Both of them are stubborn and in denial of their true feelings for one another, until one event filled day. We get to see how two stubborn people find their way to the love they have had for one another since they first met.

In Bed With The Enemy is a very fast pace read that will see you finishing it in one sitting. I was turning the pages to find out what would happen next, either between Cole and Elise or any of the secondary characters like Ricky Mercado or John Valente. Kathie DeNosky has once again given us a very enjoyable read, which has intrigue, mystery a love that seems to surpass it all, and a little matchmaking on the side. One thing I didnít like about the story has to do with Ricky Mercado. I canít say more than that, I am hoping it will be dealt with in the next story of the Lone Star Country Club series.
