This is the first book I have ever read by Sharon Sala and I was Blown Away

Cara North is a writer and spends time walking and putting ideas together. While out walking she spotted some drops of what she thought to be blood from an animal. Following a trail she sees Lance Morgan attempting to bury a body. Also, while all this is happening, there is a very bad storm coming to the area. When there is a scream Lance realizes he is not alone. Cara runs and heads towards home.

Hurt from the tornado Cara finds everyone she loves is gone. Looking so much like her cousin, Susan Blackwell, who was visiting at the time she decides it is one thing that may keep her safe. While injured she drives Susanís car to what she hopes to be a safe place and ends up in the hospital. Susanís friend and boss, Mike Boudreaux is called. Can she keep her true identity from him and if not will he help her?

The question is though, what will Lance do if he realizes that Susan is really Cara? Will Mike help her keep hidden or will he be the one to make the mistake of possibly giving away the secret? Will Susan/Cara ever be able to be the talented writer she is or will she always be Susan?
