Someone is targeting Psy Councilor Nikita Duncan’s closest advisors and the last person expected to head up the investigation is a human enforcement detective Max Shannon. His natural shield protects him from mental invasions as a good cop in a Psy dominated field in means he has little chance for career advancement. For this case it could mean success or failure. His partner on the case is a Justice Psy who arouses him in unexpected ways.

As a Justice Psy, Sophia Russo is cursed with the ability to walk through some of the most twisted minds and extract memories of their crimes. But she is on the verge of a fatal mental fracture that will steal her sense of self and separate her form the man she has admired in a most un-Psy way for quite some time. As Max’s appointed Psy liaison she grows closer to this compelling human and edges dangerously towards a darkness that urges her to take justice into her own hands.

Nalini Singh’s Psy/Changeling series confronts new threats in Bonds of Justice. The intrigue ratchets up another notch in this installment. With every glimpse into this multifaceted society and its complexities I am awed at the skillful, wily mind it took to create it. This book was gripping from first page to last. Max and Sophia are a combustible couple. If this is your first foray into the Psy/Changeling world, I would suggest you start from the beginning. Each story can stand-alone but the conflicts build in tension over time. Enjoy!
