As Daniel, Lily's twin brother works on his demons, he and Martha begin to see each other in a new light. Daniel is the hero, he knew the flood was coming and alerted the people of the village to get to higher ground.
Danger reaches a new level when Jemima Southern, Martha's mother also comes back to town. She wrecks havoc where ever she is. Jemima has come back for reasons she is not willing to share, she will however get what she wants, she always has.
The Bonners will need to be on their toes to come out the victors in dealing with Jemima and all else which is placed in front of them. They will need to come together as never before as a family.
What a great read, readers will remember they first met the Bonners in Into the Wilderness by Sara Donati. The characters are big and bold, they don't hold anything back. Readers will think they are in Paradise along with the Bonners.
