Carlotta Anne Fairleigh is about to have her debut into society, but Lottie wants one great adventure, before sheís put on the marriage mart. A girl with a very active imagination and a knack for getting herself into all kinds of trouble, she decides on the night of her coming-out, to climb from her window; ball gown and all, to have a look into the window of her neighbor, the famous Murderous Marquess. If she could just get a glimpse of him, he would be perfect fodder for the lead male character in the book sheís writing. Lottie fancies herself a great author and is writing a Gothic novel, modeling herself after Mrs. Radcliffe and Mary Shelley, celebrated novelists of the day. Little does Lottie know how much of an adventure sheís really getting herself into. This girl can really get herself into trouble; Iíll give her that! LOL.
Hayden St. Clair, the famous Murderous Marquess, is sitting in his home with the drapes drawn, enjoying a quiet moment to himself. Strains of music are filtering in from his neighbor and itís soothing sounds calm him. When he hears a strange noise outside his window, he investigates, only to find a young woman lurking in his shrubs. Can this be the light-skirt his cousin has sent to service him? Hayden grabs the female, drags her into this home and proceeds to... Well to do what she was sent over to do! Except, this is no light-skirt. Itís Lottie, but he doesnít know that, having only seen her from afar. When he kisses her, she raises such a passion in him, that he canít think straight. Who is she?
Oh dear, Lottie has really done herself in this time, hasnít she? Now what does she do? Well, what every good author should do, when researching for a story, participate to the fullest. But, this One Night Of Scandal will effect both of these players, more than either one could ever have imagined.
This is a fantastic story and pure Teresa Medeiros. Ms. Medeiros takes a thought for a storyline and just runs away with it. What it results in is a fun, exciting and romantic story, that will be a definite keeper for your romance collection.
Ms. Medeiros characters are full-bodied and very believable. Youíll feel every emotion; erotic and otherwise and it will glue you to the pages.
This is another soon-to-be classic. Congrats, Teresa!!!
