Scandal rocks the successful matchmaking firm Valentine's Inc. when its president is caught in a compromising position with someone other than his wife. The press is having a field day skewering Oscar Valentine's beach escapade that ended in a call to paramedics. After getting a clean bill of health from the cardiologist, Oscar does the only sensible thing, he hightails it to the Caribbean with his wife.

This leaves his daughter, Lucy, to take her place at the family business. There is just one problem. Lucy lost the ability to match-make during an electrical surge. Now the only thing her psychic abilities are good for is finding lost objects. She hopes that her inept attempts at matching lovers won't cause more harm than good.

When a client mentions a missing engagement ring, Lucy can't help herself. She takes a paranormal peek and discovers a dead body is involved. She asks her office neighbor, PI Sean Donohue to help her find the answer. It has nothing to do with the fact that he is gorgeous, not at all.

Truly Madly is the first novel in a trilogy by Heather Webber. It is a light-hearted book (even with the corpse) that will charm readers. Lucy's attempts to dodge her grandmother's matchmaking, her girlfriends and clients all give readers plenty to chuckle about. There are clues about the other two books, but I am sure there will be plenty of twists and turns along the way.
