Annie Gallagher was in love with her partner, Nash Brennon. On their last mission, everything went wrong - Nash got injured and Annie disappeared, never to be heard from again…until now!

Nash is now an operative for A-TAC - an elite CIA unit masquerading as faculty at Sunderland College. For the past eight years, he’s tried to forget Annie and failed but he has hardened his heart and never forgiven Annie for disappearing. Now she’s back in the picture – as a suspected terrorist and a threat to National Security. Nash doesn’t want to believe it but the evidence is all there.

Annie was heartbroken when she left Nash but in her mind, she had a good reason. Now her son has been kidnapped and the price for his freedom is something Annie is torn over. She’s not in the business anymore so why pick her for this assassination? No matter, she must do it or risk her son’s life and he is the most important thing in her life.

Dee Davis is awesome! She draws you into a story and doesn’t let go, even after you’ve finished the book! Dark Deceptions is the first book in her A-TAC series and what a way to start a series! I loved Annie from the beginning – a kick-ass woman who will do anything for those she loves! At first, Nash was a little harder to like but I understood. He felt that Annie had betrayed him and after eight years, what did he really know about her? Once he discovered exactly what happened and how they had both been deceived by a colleague, all was good!

This book has it all – good guys and bad, mistrust, deceit, lies, love and a great cast of supporting characters! So what are you waiting for? Go get a copy and enjoy!
