Go Back Cove, Maine

NASA Rocket Scientist Camry MacKeage cannot bear to tell her family the truth, that she left her job. Working as a dog-sitter and as a bartender/waitress doesn’t exactly fill the mental challenges of her former career, but Camry needs something to pay her rent. Still, Camry misses the days when she was working on fulfilling her mother’s legacy with a satellite Grace MacKeage had designed decades ago. Trying to unlock Podly’s Ion propulsion secrets, Cam seeks out help via email from a rival scientist, Dr. Lucian Pascal Renoir, adding a little spice to the serious Camry’s life. But sometimes the magic and science just don’t mix.

Luke Pascal aka Dr. Lucian Pascal Renoir has traveled from France to seek out his adversary Camry and try to locate a downed Podly. Luke accidentally lets the cat out of the bag when he tells the stunned MacKeage clan about Camry’s defection from NASA. Promising her worried parents that he would get her home in time to celebrate Winter Solstice, (Camry’s shared birthday along with her six other sisters), Luke tracks her down to the Go Back Grill. Well, this was interesting, an award winning physicist like Camry working as a waitress? After some divine intervention by a time traveling relative leads to their romance, Luke finally gets Cam to agree to come home with him. Will the lovers make it in time? A Highlander Christmas can only be had when the magic is believed!

Janet Chapman’s whimsical MacKeage clan is back again in A Highlander Christmas. Adorable canine pals, and some other worldly intercession from MacKeage clan members from past and future, help make lovers out of competitors Luke and Camry. Grab some mistletoe, hop into your snowcat and put on your snow shoes, enjoy the magic of A Highlander Christmas.
