Two years ago, CIA operatives Dante Johnson, Harry Gambrel and Max Duncan were on assignment in Southeast Asia and disappeared. Six months ago, Dante escaped and made his way back to the USA but the CIA never stopped looking for the other two men! Now they have word of Max, in a Northern Thailand prison, and go in to rescue him, not realizing the extent of the torture, abuse and experimentation that has been done to him and another man, also rescued. Could this be Max and Harry?
Dr. Erin Houston, who was introduced in Dead Right, is a psychologist who worked with Dante and has been called in, along with her boss, to assist with Max and “John Doe”. Remembering Dante’s condition, Erin expects something bad – what she sees is NOT what she expected. Nothing in her experience has prepared her for Max, professionally and personally! Erin is also trying to get over her father’s recent death and some pieces of her memories could, unfortunately, be tied to what has been done to Max.
Cate Noble’s Deadly Seduction starts up shortly after Dead Right ends and I have to say, it continues the series with a BANG! It’s a fast-paced book that will take you from Southeast Asia to the States and back again. Max only wants to fix whatever has been done to him and slowly begins to believe that Erin is the key. Erin wants to help Max, any way she can. There is so much going on in the book that it’s difficult to touch on every little thing but if you are looking for a romantic suspense with treason, deceit, betrayal, lies, fraud, murder, nasty human experiments and sizzle, this is the book for you! I can not wait for the next book! Cate Noble is an author to watch!
