Hope Bartolli has avoided Sisters, Oregon for years. After all, her younger sister, Cherry, had stolen Hope’s high school boyfriend, and then moved into Hope’s parents old house, right next door to her grandmother. It was too painful and too awkward for Hope to be around Cherry and her husband much. But now, Hope’s grandmother has died, and Hope feels obligated to return home for the funeral. The plans are simple, get in, get the job done, and get out.
It doesn’t quite work that way. The funeral is over, and when the will is read, Hope discovers that she has inherited everything. Her grandmother’s house, her car, and Grandma’s money. The family, instead of being pleased for Hope, is upset. Cherry believes she should have inherited everything because she helped the grandmother from time to time. And Hope’s oldest sister thinks she should have inherited it because she left her husband and needs a home.
However, before Hope can get the house, she has to meet the stipulations of the will. She has to live in Sisters, Oregon for one year, and take care of Grandma’s dog, Andy. If she doesn’t, then all grandma’s goods go to charities. With Hope’s sisters angry at her, and a troubled niece and nephew disrupting Hope’s life, Sisters is soon more than she can bear. Will Hope give it all up for her condo and boyfriend back in the city? Or will she find love in Sisters, Oregon?
I have read all the Love Finds You series so far, and I really love these books. Love Finds You in Sisters, Oregon is more relationship between sisters than romance, but there is still a touch of romance in the pages. I loved getting to know Hope, and her niece and nephew, and even the hero, but Hope’s sisters were a piece of work. I thought it was appropriate that they were named after local volcanoes.
I enjoyed learning about the history of Sisters, Oregon, and thoroughly enjoyed this book. Don’t miss Love Finds You in Sisters, Oregon. This is a page turner from the beginning.
