Nykyrian Quiakides was once a commander in The League assassins. After turning his back on them, Nykyrian fights for justice in his own way as the deadly assassin, Nemesis. Hunted by The League, many have tried to kill him, and all have failed. That is why Kiara Zamirís father hires him to protect his daughter Ė because Nykyrian is the best there is.

As the danger to her life increases, Kiara must entrust her life to an assassin similar to the one who murdered her mother. The only way they can both survive is to trust one another...

If you like your romance mixed with sci-fi, then Born of Night is definitely the book for you. I was curious to read this book and have been for a number of years. Would her League world match up to the Dark Hunter universe? Yes, yes, yes.

Born of Night slams you into an explosive universe of deadly assassins with an unusual code of honor. The rich description of the Ichidian Universe is dazzling without being over the top. From the opening pages, the story sucks you in and sends your emotions on a gut wrenching roller coaster ride. One minute youíll laugh, one minute youíll cry as Kiara and Nykyrian battle prejudice and death to be together.

Nykyrian and Kiara are one of my favorite Kenyon couples. His life story of abandonment and abuse made me cry numerous times. But Kiara touches his heart and slowly dissolves the steal around his emotions.

Another thing I loved are the secondary characters. They arenít just there to provide a three dimensional plot, they are as alive as the main characters. I cannot wait to read Synís story.

Born of Night was definitely worth the wait. Kudos to Ms. Kenyon for providing another addicting series!
