Four sisters, Dahlia, Iris, Violet and Rose each have their own complications in their lives. It does not help, when their grandmother dies, she has left to them the old lodge. But in order for them to remotely think about selling, they have to spend the summer with each other and no one else.

Dahlia - Recently divorced and about to lose her home to foreclosure, due to her ex-husbands antics, needs the summer to go by fast, so she can sell her share and get on with her life.

Violet - Is the even-temper one, she gets along well with everyone, including her three sisters.

Iris - Is the one who will test everyone’s patience this summer, ever since she learned to say no to her big sister, she can make one feel uncomfortable in a matter of seconds.

Rose - Is the garage sale queen, she has gone green to the point she can test a persons patience including the saints.

While spending the summer together, old wounds are opened and explored and deep buried secrets come to the surface. There is also a lot of laughter and pranks going on, even some good old fashioned skinning dipping!

What a wonderful read. It will hook the reader from the start. Keep the tissues handy, there is a fair amount of tears, both sad and happy. There is mystery, the power of love between family and the most important romance. The author Haywood Smith, knows what the readers want, and she does not hold back.
