Beaten by her husband to within an inch of her life, Victoria is thrust into the body of an ancient Egyptian. Inhabiting another womanís body isnít easy Ė especially when that woman lived thousands of years ago.
But cultural differences are the least of Victoriaís problems. The last thing she needs is another husband. Fortunately, Khaemhat is nothing like Neil. Can Victoria find love after death?
Itís no great secret Iím not the biggest fan of Red Rose books, so I was apprehensive of picking up Egyptian Nights. Despite a few editorial hiccups however, my apprehension was unwarranted. Jennifer Mueller once again delivers a historical story that draws you in, grips you by the lapels and makes you continue reading. In just a few short pages (90 in total) Ms. Mueller takes on issues such as domestic abuse and the effect this can have on future relationships.
Victoria is a modern day woman thrust into ancient Egypt with a gorgeous husband, and all the cultural differences that come with living in an ancient time. I especially liked how she adapted her skills to enrich the lives of her estate and her people Ė so different from the woman whose body she inhabits! But itís her relationship with Khaemhat that kept me reading Ė sweet and sexy, Iím glad they both found a second chance with each other.
Egyptian Nights is definitely history with heat! A sweet, sensual read about redemption and second chances Ė well worth a read.
