Well, Declan (Dec) O’Connell now knows what his friend Ryder goes through every month at the full moon and how cool it is!!!! The injury Dec received in the fight with Ryder’s cousin Miles has turned him into a werewolf and while it’s only been four months, he likes it! Now that he’s stayed on Ryder’s island to take the time to get used to being a werewolf, it’s past time to get his woman back. Problem is she wants nothing to do with him! Somehow, he has to change her mind!
Pelicia (Pel) Cobb is NOT happy to see Dec again, especially now with his car crashed into her home! As far as she’s concerned, if it weren’t for Dec, her grandfather wouldn’t be in prison, she wouldn’t be on St. Mary’s trying to eke out a living from turning her home into a Bed and Breakfast and her heart might still be in one piece, instead of shattered. Now she just wants him to go away, far away! Someone takes a shot at Pel….or is it Dec they are shooting at? Dec doesn’t know but he is not leaving her alone until he gets to the bottom of this – with her cooperation or without!
Once Declan was introduced in the previous book Daring the Moon, I knew I had to read his story in Sherrill Quinn’s Seducing the Moon and boy, am I glad I did! Dec is an annoying-as-hell Alpha who just does what he feels is right in protecting those he loves and damn the consequences! However, there are incidents that occur that cause him to reevaluate some of his decisions and make the changes necessary for his mate! Pel is extraordinarily hurt by Dec’s actions 2 years prior but as tragedy occurs, she realizes that he was doing his job and she wouldn’t have him any other way! These two traverse a rocky road to get to their HEA and let me tell you, it was a hell of a ride! Thank you, Ms. Quinn!
