Carla Fisk is a psychologist and a witch. Her twin sister, Keri, was murdered by rogues and as a result Carla is determined to help other women who have been brutalised. Attacked by rogues herself, she is rescued by Sutton West, a Wing Slayer Hunter cursed into craving her blood. But Sutton is stronger than his father and his uncle, although he feels compelled by Carla’s blood he refuses to harm her, vowing to keep her safe.

As passion rises, they become bound yet dare not succumb to their attraction. What if they are not true soul mirrors? Yet a mysterious rogue named Styx joins forces with the demon Asmodeus, they have no choice but to work together. Keri’s soul is relying on them, as is the fate of humanity...

Soul Magic is the sequel to Blood Magic in the Wing Slayer series. Building on the mythology of the first story, Ms. Lyon gives us a fast paced story with punchy dialogue, lovable characters and a brilliant twist to the paranormal romance genre. I was a big fan of the first story but Sutton and Carla’s story has quickly replaced Axel and Darcy’s in my heart.

Sutton is the perfect blend of dangerous, over protective hero and vulnerable male. The scenes where he is scared of Carla’s mom are hilarious and had me laughing out loud! I enjoyed the expanding of the soul mirror issue and was glad we got to read more about that.

I don’t want to give too much of the plot away, but Soul Magic has some formidable bad guys.

If you are looking for action and adventure; dominant and dangerous males; hot sex and snappy dialogue, Soul Magic is a definite must read. A well deserved 5 roses. I cannot wait for the next installment!
