Walking Nightmare is part of a series by Kylie Brant. This book is the first in The Mindhunter series and it kept me on the edge of my seat with the mystery part. The romance part was not only written well and shows us the characters as they deny their attraction to each other. When they finally give into the desire you find yourself sighing for the fulfillment they have with each other.

Ryne Robel is head of the task force that knows there is a serial rapist on the loose in Savannah. They are hoping to find the unsub before another woman is taken as another victim of this persons sick attack.

Abbie Phillips is the newest member of a task force but not what Ryne wants or feels he needs. Abbie is a profiler and works for TBI Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and she has trained with the very best. Abbie is very good at her job but there is a part of her past that she still is trying to deal with.

Both of these characters want the same thing, the UNSUB behind bars but will they be able to work together? Will Ryne listen to what Abbie has to say to save the next victim? How close will the unsub get to Abbie and Ryne? Will he use what he knows their fears are against either of them? Also there is an attraction between the two of them and if they are to spend some time with each other can they separate the job from the sex? Will the things from their past hurt the case or each other? If all the secrets come out will these two have a chance to be together? Lots of questions and each one are answered as you read this book.

I enjoyed this book tremendously and would recommend it one hundred percent. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series for if it has half as good as the first in the series I will not put it down until I have it finished just as I did this book.
