Surrender In Moonlight marks my first e-book by this author duo, but it wonít be my last.
Reece and Carmen meet at a club, and things are not what they seem about the couple. She steals his bike (a Ducati!) and he bails her out of jail. . . for a price. So amongst a compound (read, mansion) of snakes, Carmen and Reece proceed to fall in love, but can they overcome Carmenís secret to be happy?
The story was fast paced, the characters were fun to read, albeit a little under-developed. There were plot twists and, thank heavens, a conflict. But the conflict never really went anywhere. I had to borrow logic from other stories by other authors to figure out why things were the way they were. Most authors describe the history of the race or the conflict, especially something like Carmenís secret, are a little better described. Carmen was really strong willed, but too submissive. I would have liked to have seen her become more dominant.
The story seemed rushed at the end but overall a good story I just wish it had been better defined.
