When Meg breaks into Kyle’s office hoping to persuade him and his company not to bulldoze her bookstore, she never expects to be asked for a bargain – if she agrees to one night of pleasure and punishment from him, he’ll hear her case. What takes her by surprise is the fact that Kyle is more than she could have expected – charming, sexy, a generally good guy apart from the fact he’s trying to bulldoze her store!

What follows is a story about love, romance and Dominance and submission. Can Meg and Kyle overcome real life and its numerous dramas to find completion in each other?

Kyle’s Bargain is a story about the edgier side of romance. It is at heart a story about the finer workings of a BDSM relationship, how Dominance and submission translates into everyday life. However, Kyle’s Bargain was a bit too cute a story for this reviewer. Although Ms. Kingston touched on elements such as punishment, she failed to achieve the goal of what a Dom/sub relationship can mean in real life. The plot is also a bit ‘hokey’ in places.

Despite this, Kyle’s Bargain has a lot of attractions – likable main characters in the form of Kyle and Meg; interesting supporting characters; some sizzling sex scenes but after a while these become a bit formulaic. I would have loved to have seen more of the supporting characters such as Lindy and Rick. Ms. Kingston could have gone much further with Kyle and Meg’s relationship to make the story more interesting.

Overall, an enjoyable read, one I would recommend to others. It’s well worth a read, especially if you love erotic BDSM romances. However, not a keeper in my opinion.
