Some years after the end of the Civil War.

Hannah and Solomon Cooper are starting a new life in the wild west of Fort Bridger to open a mercantile. Hannah is cautious while Solomon is having the time of his life. While on their way Solomon gave up his life to save those he loved, Hannah has what it takes to continue on the journey, she will need all the grit, courage and faith she can muster to get through the challenges ahead of her.

Hannah and her children must forge ahead and learn to live without a husband and father. Hannah will not only have to rely on her children and herself but also rely on her strong belief her God has a wonderful plan for her and her family.

This book was originally published in 2006. The storyline has not changed from the original, the book cover has been updated. The book is a worthwhile read nonetheless. The characters are well written, they are not flat, the detail to historical facts is Al and Joanna Lacy’s trademark.
