Not Even For Love by Sandra Brown is the story of Jordan Hadlock and Reeves Grant. Both of whom are on a quest for something unknown to them. Unknown until they find themselves rather unexpectedly falling quickly and totally in love.
Not Even For Love opens with a lost Reeves looking for shelter from a torrential rainstorm. He is lucky enough to find Jordanís English newsstand, but it is closed for the evening. After much pounding on the door Jordan opens her closed business to find drenched Reeves on her doorstep. She invites him in, and is willing to help him find suitable accommodations for his stay in Lucerne. The storm however prevents them from being able to find hotel accommodations for Reeves. Jordan decides to let him stay the night with her. Itís not long before the storm brewing outside is rivaled by the storm brewing between Jordan and Reeves.
Jordan and Reeves find themselves attracted to each other. There are however forces both internal and external working to keep them apart. They each need to come to terms with their own beliefs and needs before they can find happiness together.
Not Even For Love was written 20 years ago, and in many ways it shows. There is unprotected sex, and the hero smokes a time or two. Fans of Ms. Brownís more mainstream novels probably wonít care for this early attempt, but those readers who miss the truer romantic stories will appreciate the fact that Not Even For Love has been reissued.
