When Casey gets invited on a date with Tyler Hammond, little did she know her life was about to change. Dating one of baseballs up and coming hotshots would never be easy – especially with all the groupies hanging around, but on top of that Casey knows nothing about baseball.

Caught up in a whirlwind of travel and celebrity status, Casey embarks on an adventure that changes her lackluster life. Sex with Tyler is breathtaking, adding more excitement to the mix. Not only that, but Tyler is on a winning streak – a hot streak- and he believes it’s all down to Casey.

In the end Casey must decide if her relationship with Tyler is nothing but a fling or if their hot streak can continue off the pitch…

Baseball and erotica. Not something that I would necessarily read about, especially being English, but I am exceedingly glad I picked a copy of The Hot Streak. One of the great things about this book is Ms. Tan’s enthusiasm for baseball – it’s infectious. Knowing nothing about the game, you don’t have to be a fan to read this book, however by the end I found myself wanted to go out and learn more about baseball.

Although the plot revolves around baseball, the core element is one of romance. Casey and Tyler’s relationship is enough to warm even the coldest of hearts. I constantly smiled throughout the novel at the development of their whirlwind romance and the joy they found in each other. By the end, I was rooting for their relationship with a sports fan’s gusto!

The sex scenes were plentiful and extremely tantalizing, but I expected more erotica from an erotic romance. However, that in no way takes anything away from the story or the extremely interesting, down to earth and likable characters. The romantic elements were not corny, or contrived, something I found extremely refreshing.

Overall, The Hot Streak really surprised me in the best way. A heart warming novel, packed full of sensuality, romance and adrenaline packed baseball. A contemporary fairytale that will sweep you off your feet!
