A quartet of paranormal authors have converged in one book, and the result is Huntress. This anthology of urban fantasy tales can lure readers into the depths of Hell or a post-apocalyptic world where no one is safe.
In the Devil's Bargain, author Christine Warren introduces Lilli Corbin, a bounty hunter who specializes in supernatural retrievals. Lilli made a bargain with a hellish prince and is now on her last wish fulfillment before the contract ends. She will do whatever she has to do to fulfill her bargain, but will she sacrifice someone she loves?
Author Marjorie M. Liu takes readers to a disturbing world in The Robber Bride. Disaster and chaos go hand in hand as Maggie, a “fixer” must stop an army of predators. She may not be a warrior, but she has a few hidden talents to call upon.
Black London is the setting for Down in the Ground Where the Dead Men Go. Mage Jack Winter has been compelled to help a demon hunter. What he can't figure out is whether Ava is on the level or up to no good. Author Caitlin Kittredge brings us another dark tale filled with magic and Jack's own special way of looking at the world.
Cin Craven may have started life as a powerful witch, but she is all that and more as a member of The Righteous. With her husband Michael and the other vampire warriors, Cin has been called to London. The demon known as Jack the Ripper is targeting other vampires and he must be stopped. Author Jenna Maclaine delivers plenty of action in Sin Slayer.
Huntress is an entertaining read. I was sorry to see some of the novellas end. Readers who are unfamiliar with some of the authors will get a good taste for their writing, and probably come away with more titles for their TBR pile.
