Amelia Wainscoat was once a very happy woman. She was CEO of her construction business, she had a handsome, loving husband, and a beautiful son. A year after her husbandís boating accident, Amelia`s life is somewhat shattered when her five-year-old son Charles is kidnapped. Amelia suspects that his nanny abducted Charles.
Amelia has pulled out all the stops to find her son the FBI has been called in, and Amelia has hired her own private investigator Brad Dorchester. But, despite all of their help she is determined to be in on the search. After Charles and his ex-nanny are seen in Michigan, Amelia drives there to follow every lead but each one turns out to be a dead end.
Where The Road Ends is heart-wrenching story of a mother trying desperately to find her missing child.
Amy which is the alias she uses, was one of the most courageous heroineís that I had the pleasure to read about. Her unwavering belief that she would be reunited with her child was wonderful, you could feel the emotions that she felt as she drove from town to town searching for her son. Each time there was a lead I felt my heart jump up into my chest only to be disappointed just as Amy was, Brad I didnít identify with as much he kind of held himself back a bit in the beginning not wanting to be involved with a client, but you can clearly see that he has very deep feelings for Amy. I cried at the end of this book and it is without a doubt one of the best books I have read this year. Tara Taylor Quinn has done it again this is another definite keeper.
